Supercapacitors offer vast advantages over electrochemical storage in terms of power delivery, longevity, scalability, safety, reliability, efficiency, operational temperature, etc. Design with confidence – there is no need to compensate for degradation, efficiency, BMS limitations, or other factors associated with chemical batteries.
Summit Series
We build the Summit Series energy storage modules with our durable and robust hybrid supercapacitors. This flagship product series includes our Patent-Pending electronic control system for safe connection and ease of use, as well as Wi-Fi monitoring features that make this product superior to others in the market. The summit series is designed specifically for the solar, power backup, and telecommunications markets for use in small/medium-size installations.
The Summit series is available in 48V configuration. 24V versions are coming soon.

No Heat Generation or Thermal Runaway
Chemical batteries produce heating during operation which, at a certain point, can become exothermic, meaning they will burn at a temperature that is self-sustaining and extremely difficult to extinguish.
Because WEST modules operate without creating heat, this risk does not exist.

Wide Operating Temperature
WEST modules can operate in a wide range of temperatures, from -30F to +140F, without experiencing damage.
Lithium-ion batteries will lose capacity in cold temperatures and experience permanent degradation at temperatures over +113F.

Adequate Energy Density
While lithium-ion can boast higher energy density, in stationary applications energy density is not a critical factor.
Much more important are the nine other factors already discussed.

Carbon-Based Material
WEST energy storage is largely carbon-based, allowing for efficient, safe, and long-term electrostatic storage of energy.

Ultra-High Efficiency of 99.1%
WEST modules are highly efficient at 99.1%. Imagine, for instance, if every single charging cycle lost 10% (in heat).
Over time these losses become prohibitively expensive.

Completely Modular Construction
In the rare event of a component failure, WEST is the only “battery” that allows for easy service or replacement in the field of every module part, eliminating the need for costly offsite repairs or replacements.
